The University of Windsor has retained WarrenShepell, an external counselling service, to provide professional counseling and information services to faculty / librarians and their eligible immediate family members. There is no referral required by the University or by a physician/counsellor. All calls are private and confidential to WarrenShepell and no individual information is shared with Human Resources, the University or the Faculty Association. There is no cost to individuals seeking support. If longer-term or more specialized counselling is required, WarrenShepell will make a referral to the appropriate professional or agency in your community. The fees for this referral are the responsibility of the employee or family member, but some of these services may be covered by provincial health care or the extended healthcare plan from the University (Green Shield). The Employee Assistance service is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week by telephone and/or the internet.
