The Health and Safety Committee of WUFA was intended to make recommendations to improve the Association's representation and actions on the Joint Central Safety Committee of the University, and to engage in other activities to make the workplace safe for bargaining unit members.

Central Safety Committee of the University

The Central Safety Committee (CSC) is a joint committee that is comprised of representatives from all campus unions and the Administration.  The CSC is mandated to address concerns regarding Workplace Health and Safety, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.  The responsibilities are addressed in the CSC's 'Terms of Reference' document, which states the following:

"The purpose of the CSC is to address occupational health and safety (OHS) concerns that affect university-wide operations that cannot be resolved at the department level.

These concerns will normally involve decisions by senior administrative officials or will require changes in procedures that will affect the entire campus or a good portion thereof."

The WUFA reps on the CSC 2021-2022 are:

Women’s Campus Safety Grant Committee of the University

The Women's Campus Safety Grant Committee is a Presidential standing committee established to address women's safety issues on campus, and in so doing, to establish, promote and improve facilities, programs and services at the University of Windsor.  The Grant has been funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities since 1991.
